Where others strive for sustainability, we go beyond it.

At Nordvegan, we can throw complicated carbon metrics and sustainability policies at you, but our approach rests on a stupidly simple system.

First up, we aim to do minimal harm at every point of the value chain. From where we source our ingredients, to how we cook our food, to how we dispose of any waste.

Then, we ask how we can return a net positive benefit to the planet. We do this predominantly through our groundbreaking tree-planting initiative.

We aim to do no harm.

With every facet of our restaurant, we ask how we can minimise harm to the environment. We treat the climate as one of our major stakeholders, and thus we care for it just as we would care for our employees or our customers.

Some of our methods of preventing harm:

  • Low food waste.

  • Plastic-free.

  • Plant-based.

  • Eco-focused cooking techniques.

We leave the Earth in a better state.

Through our groundbreaking tree planting initiative, we plant over 15,000 trees per year.

All of our emissions are offset through this fantastic project and then some – we sequester a significant amount of carbon from the atmosphere and leave the planet in a net positive state.

Some benefits to our tree planting initiative include:

  • Sequesters carbon from the atmosphere.

  • Improves water quality and drainage.

  • Provides local jobs and employment.

  • Enhances air quality.
